Staff & Volunteers: Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries employs more than 500 staff team members working at more than 20 locations through 8 counties in central PA. Each year, about 200 volunteers contribute more than 22,000 hours of service to help clients and residents.


Administration: ALSM is governed by a Board of Trustees selected based on diversity factors such as age, gender, geographic location, denomination, status (clergy or lay), expertise and organizational experience. Board members are also chosen in such a way that ALSM’s 8 counties of services are also represented. 51% of board membership is Lutheran.
