The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg Nurse Assistant Training Program is a curriculum approved by the Department of Education to teach students basic knowledge and skills necessary to become a Nurse Assistant. This free program is designed to prepare you as a student to be eligible to take the state approved Nurse Aide Competency Examination. The exam must be successfully completed within 120 days after the last day of class.

The training consists of 116 hours of instruction which include:
You will be given several exams on the material covered and 2 comprehensive tests. You must receive a score of at least 80% on all quizzes and exams. Assignments are given on a pass/fail basis. Performance levels are evaluated by your primary instructor and your program coordinator using the clinical skills checklist.
