From cleaning and light housekeeping to assistance with bathing, personal grooming, shopping and more, ALSM at Home can help those living at home in need of assistance with almost any daily task, as well as provide respite care for family caregivers.
When more intensive services may be needed, ALSM at Home Health Care can provide your or your loved one with Medicare-certified skilled nursing care, medication management, in-home physical, occupational, and speech therapy options. Services are provided by our registered nurses and trained certified nursing assistants.
Our Senior Daily Living Centers provide adult day services to offer a safe and secure daytime “home away from home” for senior adults whose caregivers must work or tend to other responsibilities. With Centers located in Altoona, Meyersdale and Somerset, the programs offered at each location focus on the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of each person. The Centers offer a wide range of individual and group activities, computer equipment with software focusing on enhancing cognitive fitness, a daily lunch program, transportation assistance, and much more.
ALSM's counseling program helps people of all ages overcome the burdens and challenges in their lives. From dealing with the death of a loved one to behavioral issues and more, we offer counseling services through contractual agreements with local professional counselors. Counseling services costs may be subsidized by ALSM, with an authorization from a Lutheran clergy member. Counseling providers may accept insurance, depending on the location.
