Yes. In fact, it is the resident's right to have his/her own physician. If a resident is residing in the nursing unit, though, the physician must first be credentialed by the facility. Secondly, that physician must make his/her visits at the facility as opposed to office visits. Personal care residents may visit their attending physician at the office.
