Our Mission

The Family Center is dedicated to helping parents improve their children’s education achievements, as well as the family’s quality of life. We provide tools to help parents develop positive parenting skills; we encourage parents to nurture their own personal development and self-esteem, as well as their children’s. We strive to give families a sense of hope, belief in themselves, experiences of success and access to resources that facilitate constructive growth.

The Family Center is committed to providing quality early childhood services and believes that parents play a very important role in the growth and development of their children. We value their inclusion as part of the education team.

The Family Center is a partnership of the Unified Family Services System Collaborative Project and ALSM. Efforts are supported by grants through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Bedford County United Way and local community contributions.
