Residents at Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries three senior living communities had a Valentine’s Day surprise! In honor of Valentine’s Day, Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries’ (ALSM) launched their first roses to the residents campaign this year. People could make a monetary donation to ALSM in exchange for one to six roses delivered to a resident at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, The Lutheran Home at Johnstown, or The Oaks at the Pleasant Gap. Between monetary and floral donations from the community, ALSM staff team members delivered 627 roses to residents at all three locations on Valentine’s Day. All the residents received at least one rose with a personalized greeting. All proceeds made from the roses to the residents campaign go towards ALSM’s benevolent care fund which helps those receiving services from ALSM continue to receive care.
