Putt with Purpose at the 22nd Annual ALSM & First Commonwealth Bank James V. Meadows Memorial Golf Outing
Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries (ALSM) will host the 22nd Annual ALSM/First Commonwealth Bank James V. Meadows Memorial Golf Outing, on Monday, July 29, at Scotch Valley Country Club in Hollidaysburg. The outing will kick off with a shotgun start at noon.
Last year’s event attracted more than 100 golfers and raised over $38,000 for the benevolent care program at ALSM. Each year, ALSM provides more than $2 million in benevolent care for those individuals who have outlived their funds. In 2018, the amount provided in benevolent care was $2.6 million.
The registration fee ($175 for individuals or $650 for a foursome) includes 18 holes of golf, a cart (two carts for a foursome), lunch, dinner, snacks and refreshments on the course, prizes, and special giveaway items for each golfer. Golfers will have the opportunity to compete in skill holes, as well as a hole-in-one chance to win $10,000 sponsored by S&T Bank, a $5,000 Putting Contest sponsored by Thompson Pharmacy, and the chance to enjoy an afternoon of fun in the sun and make a difference in the lives of those served by ALSM.
